Available sizes
0724 Mail mailboxes are available from 2 GB to 100 GB. Every mailbox includes the same core service; storage is what you choose per person. You can mix sizes on the same domain.
Practical guidance
- 2–5 GB: light use, shared info addresses, low volume
- 10 GB: recommended mainstream size for many professional users
- 15–30 GB: heavier users with larger attachments or longer history
- 50 GB+: only when you genuinely need a large active mailbox
Large mailbox advisory
50 GB and above are substantial. Desktop clients such as Outlook can become slower as locally synchronised mail grows. Migrations and restores also take longer. Older mail kept only for records is often better archived separately than kept forever in an active mailbox.
Backups protect against loss; they are not a substitute for long-term archival storage.
