What is DirectAdmin?

DirectAdmin is a web hosting control panel that gives you complete control over your hosting account. It provides a graphical interface for managing:

  • Email accounts, forwarders, and autoresponders
  • Files and FTP accounts
  • Databases (MySQL/MariaDB)
  • Domain names, subdomains, and DNS records
  • Website backups and restores
  • PHP settings and installed applications
  • SSL certificates and security settings

0724 Hosting uses DirectAdmin for all web hosting, mail hosting, and reseller hosting accounts.

Step 1: Log in to the 0724 Hosting client area

  1. Go to https://ca.0724.co.za/ in your web browser
  2. Click Login at the top right
  3. Enter your email address and password
  4. Click Login

If you have forgotten your password, click "Forgot Password?" to reset it.

Step 2: Navigate to your services

Once logged in to the 0724 Hosting client area:

  1. Click Services in the top menu
  2. Select My Services from the dropdown
  3. You will see a list of all your active hosting services

Step 3: Select your hosting service

  1. Find the hosting account you want to manage
  2. Click on the service name or click Manage on the right
  3. You will be taken to the Service Details page

Step 4: Log in to DirectAdmin

On the Service Details page, you will see information about your hosting account including the domain, server, and status. To access DirectAdmin:

  1. Look for the Quick Shortcuts or Actions section
  2. Click Log in to DirectAdmin
  3. DirectAdmin will open in a new browser tab
  4. You will be automatically logged in — no separate username or password required

Alternative: Direct DirectAdmin login

If you prefer to log in to DirectAdmin directly without going through the client area:

  1. Go to your DirectAdmin URL (provided in your welcome email): https://server.hostname:2222
  2. Enter your DirectAdmin username (usually your primary domain name)
  3. Enter your DirectAdmin password (found in your welcome email or the client area)
  4. Click Login

Your DirectAdmin username and password are different from your client area login details. You can find them in your welcome email or by viewing your service details in the client area.

What can you do in DirectAdmin?

Once logged in to DirectAdmin, you will see a dashboard with sections for:

  • Email Manager: Create email accounts, manage passwords and quotas, set up forwarders and autoresponders
  • File Management: Upload files, manage directories, edit files, create FTP accounts
  • Domain Setup: Manage addon domains, subdomains, domain pointers, and redirects
  • Advanced Features: Manage databases, DNS records, cron jobs, PHP settings, SSL certificates
  • Account Manager: View disk usage, bandwidth, backups, and account statistics

Troubleshooting access issues

Cannot log in to the client area

If you cannot log in to the 0724 Hosting client area:

  • Double-check your email address and password are correct
  • Use the "Forgot Password?" link to reset your password if needed
  • Clear your browser cache and cookies
  • Contact 0724 Hosting support if you are still unable to log in

Cannot see "Log in to DirectAdmin" button

If you cannot see the DirectAdmin login button on your service page:

  • Ensure your service is active (not suspended or cancelled)
  • Verify you are viewing the correct service (not a domain registration or other non-hosting product)
  • Try refreshing the page or logging out and back in to the client area
  • Contact support if the button is still missing

DirectAdmin opens but shows an error

If DirectAdmin loads but displays an error message:

  • Your account may be suspended due to non-payment or a terms of service issue
  • Check your client area account for any outstanding invoices
  • Contact support for assistance with suspended accounts

Security tip: Always log out

When you finish working in DirectAdmin, especially on a shared or public computer, click Logout in the top right corner to ensure your session is closed securely.
